Of course you can't have Easter without dyeing eggs! Every year gets better and better as Wyatt gets more into it and actually understands how to do it. This year he was able to do most of it himself, and there were no spills and only 1 casualty :-) Happy Easter everyone! I hope it's one of many blessings!

Since the weather hasn't been so great lately, we've been forced to spend way too much time indoors! We've been so used to spending our days outdoors, it was a little difficult keeping the kids entertained, and me sane! Thank the Lord the sun was shining and the breeze was light yesterday and we were able to get a short hike in and some time at the park. Below are a few pics of the days we spent inside. BTW, don't be jealous of all the plywood in the background :-) Ha ha!

These two were a little unsure of the ocean at times. I think it had to do with the "Sneaker Wave" warnings, that are a true, frequent occurance in the area we were staying, that kept us all on our toes. They would get close to the ocean's edge and then run back up onto the beach yelling, "sneaker wave!" Trying to be like the big boys...AND girls!

My attempt at getting a picture of the raccoons we loured in every night...shhhh, don't tell. The kids absolutely loved it. They would sit at the sliding door (with me, Nade, and Stef) with all the lights off, while the dumb dads and uncle would go outside and feed the raccoons...even fed them out of their hands (not smart). Gavin kept saying, "It's like we have our own zoo!"

Wyatt turned 3 on the 29th of June! We had a baseball themed party. The kids had a great time playing in the water and playing "Pin the Ball in the Mit" (Noah being the big winner). It was a great day. We surprised Wyatt with a new swingset about an hour before his party started. A big thanks to g'mas and g'pas for helping us keep Wyatt away so that the swingset could remain a surprise. Also a HUGE thanks to uncles (Trav and Drew) for helping Luke put it together.

We spent Memorial Day weekend camping at Bumping Lake with my mom, Stan (her beau), my bro, Kristen, and Natalie, Nadene, Drew, and their boys. We had a nice weekend, since the weather decided to cooperate! It started on Friday when my mom and g'ma ("Munga") came down for Gavin's "Grandparents Day" at school. Mo, my mom, and g'ma came out to our house for a nice lunch before they headed back home. Saturday was a work day in the garden, clean car (disgusting from our Seattle trip), mow lawn, etc. The Elliotts (minus Noah) came out for dinner and lots of fun!

Friday was such a beautiful day that we thought we'd better get out on the water. Drew, Gav, and Colt joined us (Nade was home w/ Caelan who had an ear infection). Doug and Stefanie also met up with us in their boat. Allie and Jax had their first boating experience - both seemed to enjoy it! Many more boating trips in their future I'm sure, or at least I hope!

This past weekend me, my sister, and some friends from the Tri-Cities (also sisters) left our kids with the dads and headed to Wenatchee for a Lonestar concert and a chance to escape for some fun! We met up with family and some of my besties from high school and had a BLAST! We found ourselves practically onstage throughout the whole concert, pretending we were in high school again :-) We kept joking the next day that we had to head back to reality!

Luke has always wanted a Golden Retriever and they are extremely hard to come by around here. So, when he found some for sale in Oroville (up by Canada) we decided to make a little trip out of it and go get our newest addition to the fam. We had fun seeing parts of the state on our drive we hadn't seen before and Luke and I were actually able to talk on the drive (usually interrupted) - kids were AWESOME (thank God). Wyatt had a ton of fun swimming and running the halls of the hotel!

This is what Wyatt does these days, he takes ANYTHING and pretends it's a "big jet" and flies it around the house. As you can see here (pic below) he has a foam letter, he has many toy jets mind you. His other obsession is shooting "bears." The guns may also be ANYTHING from around the house even though he has toy guns. Let's remember that Allie is still too small to be his playmate so Luke and/or I usually get sucked into these charades! FUNNNNNNNNNNNN! I finally had to tell him today that I think bears are extinct because we shot so many and that I am really tired of shooting guns! :-) We are trying not to wish too much for Allie to grow up, but we are ready for Wyatt to have someone to play with full time! "Tubs"

We Moved...AGAIN! :-)

Well, we moved again! Our house sold the day it was to expire on the listing! So we were house hunting and packing our bags during the holidays this year, not to mention caring for a newborn. But we made it through those busy times and are getting settled in our new place. We were able to purchase a semi-remodeled, old farmhouse with close to 4 acres! We are really happy with the house but are more than anxious to start doing things outside on the land, the main reason we bought the place. We are looking forward to raising steer and starting a garden this spring (putting our farming skills to the test:-)). Luke also wants to get chickens, but those of you that know me well know that I have been protesting that idea...YUCK!

This picture really doesn't do it justice, but while Luke and I were taking down all the Christmas decor Allie was lying on the floor with her new toy from G'pa Dave and G'ma Sue. When we looked over at her she was seriously ATTACKING the toy trying to eat (she is such a pig...no joke)! It was seriously one of the funniest things I've seen...hmmm, I think I need to get out of the house :-)

We had a different kind of Christmas this year. With Allie being born so close to Christmas we knew we wouldn't want to be traveling, so we decided to have an early Christmas celebration/ b-day party at our house with my mom, Stan (mom's beau), Grandma D., my brother, Kristen, Natalie, Nadene, Drew and the boys. Mo and Mark came over after the christmas "stuff" to celebrate my birthday. The pics in the slideshow are of both the "Earlybird Christmas" and actual Christmas! Both Christmases were full of fun and EXCELLENT food! and the kids were spoiled with lots of cool new toys of course! Allie is almost 2 weeks old now and is such a good baby so far! We are enjoying having another baby around to cuddle and love. It has been a bit of an adjustment for Wyatt, especially when it comes to sharing his favorite person in the whole wide world - DAD! Whenever he catches Luke holding Allie he says, "Dad hold me, put baby down!" :-) But he LOVES his baby sister and smothers her with kisses every day!

Allie Maureen Vincent was welcomed into this world at 6:13 am on Wednesday December 10th. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 15 oz., and was 20 inches long. She is healthy and beautiful (of course). Everything went really well and REALLY fast! I woke up at midnight having really strong contractions and decided to let Luke sleep while I timed my contractions to make sure it was the real deal :-) Finally at 4:30 am I decided I should wake Luke up and let him in on it. Luke's dad graciously came over to the house around 5 to stay with Wyatt and we headed to the hospital. We arrived at the hospital around 5:20 am, the nurse checked me and I was already dialated to an 8!! The first thing I said was, "Oh no, its too late for an epidural!" They quickly moved us into labor and delivery, the doctor came in with a few minutes, broke my water, and she was born at 6:13! Giving birth naturally is quite and experience let me tell ya! I can't say I'd totally recommend it :-) However, I wouldn't change it for anything. I am grateful for the experience...I think :-)

That day the Tri City Herald (our local newspaper) came and interviewed us and took pictures and wrote a story on the history of the Vincent family boys and how we finally got a girl! you can check out the article at the website below. Pretty funny! It made the front page...there obviously wasn't much news that day :-)

My mom and G'ma came down during the week a few weeks ago, so we were sure to hit the pumpkin patch with the kiddos. They enjoyed themselves very much! and so did us adults. We had GREAT weather!

Wyatt's 1st dinner party. While the dad's were away hunting we had our friends over for some dinner, dessert, and lots of fun. The entertainment of the evening was a circus act put on by the 5 kiddos in the basement...what a treat:-) They had so much fun and were exceptionally good!

Camping Fun

Well, neither Luke nor I really had the energy to pack up and go camping this weekend, but we had been promising Wyatt we'd go this weekend and he DID NOT forget! So, we packed up on Saturday morning and went to a little reservoire close to home (40 min. away). We stayed busy of course cause Wyatt doesn't have it any other way. This kid has so much energy it amazes, and tires us! :-) He is constantly running, jumping, climbing, etc. Mommy and Wyatt's sand castle (notice the cigarette butt for a chimney...disgusting)

I don't have a whole lot of pics of him yet (I keep forgetting my camera...urgh!), but here are a few of the newest Vincent baby! He was a whopping 8 lbs. 14 oz. and 22 in. long!! with lots of dark hair. Nadene was induced the morning of September 4th and had him that evening. It went so fast and smooth that my mom and I missed the whole thing! :-( Of course he is just so cute! The family is adjusting well to the new addition (Gavin and Colton just love him to death already). It makes me very anxious having another tiny baby around :-) Enjoy the pictures.

We had a WHS girls' weekend this past weekend at Crescent Bar. We had soooooooo much fun catching up and talking about old times! I laughed so hard my cheeks were sore and I could barely smile by the end of saturday night! It was so nice getting back together with my best friends, but at the same time it makes me realize how much I miss all of them!

So we've been working really hard this summer on going on the potty chair and I am proud to say that we have had great success! Wyatt has done GREAT!! He is pretty much potty trained, although we still need to work on going on the potty when we're in other places. But I know that will come soon. Anyway, just a lovely update on my life and what it consists of :-) Just kidding I have much to be thankful for!

5 Years!

Luke and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary this past weekend! In some ways it feels like we've been together forever and in other ways it feels like we just got married last year. We had a very nice, relaxing time together. We took the boat out on the river, boated around, and used it as our taxi service. We got a hotel room on the water and then took the boat up river to Anthony's for a nice dinner. The sunset on the way back from dinner was amazing but we only had our cameras on our phones, so no photos. When we got back we rented a movie, and actually got to watch it (rare), and lazed around. Oh, how we used to take such little things, like lounging around, for granted! It was a great way to celebrate 5 years!

Fourth of July Weekend

This last 4th of July weekend we had a full schedule. It started on the 3rd actually with a dinner cruise on the river to celebrate Luke's grandma's 80th birthday. Lots of family came to town and it was quite fun and really pretty. The next day we headed off to camp to celebrate the 4th. We went with Nadene and Drew and the kids up to the Blue Mtns. here in the Tri-Cities. We did all sorts stuff. We took a very scenic, but scary drive up the mountain. When we got the the top of the mountain the scary drive was all worth it. The view was AMAZING! We also went fishing in the nearby lakes, splashed around in the river, walked around in the woods looking for bear poop (can you believe that?...found some though), had target practice with the beebee gun (Gavin has a new passion), lit fireworks, etc. We saw lots of snakes, deer (Luke and Wyatt saw a six-point early Sunday morning), and we also saw a Bobcat while we were taking a walk just down from our camp. That was pretty cool :-) AND of course Nadene and I both forgot our cameras at home...soooooooooo MAD!

Wyatt's 2nd birthday was filled all sorts of fun. It started off with a friends party on Friday afternoon. We set the yard up to be a waterpark. The kids enjoyed playing in the different pools, the slip'n slide, throwing water balloons, making bubbles, etc. It was a blast! Wyatt has GREAT friends and we're very blessed. Thanks to all that came to play! We love you.

Aunt Karen invited us all out for a BBQ and fun with all the kids. We picked raspberries, visited the horses and cows, went polywog hunting in the ponds, played in the pool, and chased the kittens around. Whew, it was a fuuuunnnn night with all the cousins and we hope to do it again soon!
